Subject: linux-next: manual merge of the akpm-current tree with the tip tree
Date: Thu, 2 Nov 2017 18:19:14 +1100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20171102181914.3121e876@canb.auug.org.au> (raw)

Hi Andrew,

Today's linux-next merge of the akpm-current tree got a conflict in:

  arch/x86/mm/kasan_init_64.c

between commit:

  12a8cc7fcf54 ("x86/kasan: Use the same shadow offset for 4- and 5-level paging")

from the tip tree and commit:

  3af83426c380 ("x86/kasan: add and use kasan_map_populate()")

from the akpm-current tree.

I fixed it up (hopefully - see below) and can carry the fix as
necessary. This is now fixed as far as linux-next is concerned, but any
non trivial conflicts should be mentioned to your upstream maintainer
when your tree is submitted for merging. You may also want to consider
cooperating with the maintainer of the conflicting tree to minimise any
particularly complex conflicts.

Cheers,
Stephen Rothwell
