Subject: [ANNOUNCE] 5.4.52-rt31
Date: Tue, 21 Jul 2020 11:28:42 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20200721112842.3c2d6d09@oasis.local.home> (raw)

Dear RT Folks,

I'm pleased to announce the 5.4.52-rt31 stable release.

This release is just an update to the new stable 5.4.52 version
and no RT specific changes have been made.

It did have some issues with merging of v5.4.48, which caused a
conflict and required some updates to "sched: Move mmdrop to RCU on RT".

v5.4.49 also had a conflict that required reverting "net: Add a mutex
around devnet_rename_seq".

Due to these conflicts, this release took a little more time and
testing.

You can get this release via the git tree at:

  git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rt/linux-stable-rt.git

  branch: v5.4-rt
  Head SHA1: ce24f034d80d0433977b8d7d3bbfcddcfe2b1d84

Or to build 5.4.52-rt31 directly, the following patches should be applied:

  http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/linux-5.4.tar.xz

  http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/patch-5.4.52.xz

Enjoy,

-- Steve
