Apparently the text at the URL (at one time) was:

"SGI's use of the GPL and/or LGPL and their required notices:

You may note that the SGI notice adds a few minor bits to the notices
required by the GPL and LGPL. These minor differences comply with the
requirements of the GPL and LGPL, without altering their own required
notices. The additional language has been reviewed by the Free
Software Foundation, which has concluded there is no conflict between
the extra language and the GPL and LGPL."

Oddly there is no additional language in these notices if I'm not
mistaken. SGI was known in olden times for adding language excluding
patent license grants, implied or otherwise, from the GPLv2 license
grant, so I wonder if that's what this is referring to. I sort of hope
not, given the statement about the consultation of the FSF, but
whatevs.
