I had the numbers for the pre-2.4.22pre levels, but I didn't benchmarked yet on the final code in mainline that had some cosmetical difference. These are the results for the contigous I/O with vanilla 2.4.21 against vanilla 2.4.22-pre6 against 2.4.22pre6aa2 (and aa2 is completely equal to aa1 in terms of blkdev/IO).
