Subject: [PATCH 06/18 v3] tracing: Update trace-event-sample with TRACE_SYSTEM_VAR documentation
Date: Thu, 02 Apr 2015 21:38:08 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20150403014123.852999555@goodmis.org> (raw)
In-Reply-To: 20150403013802.220157513@goodmis.org

[-- Attachment #1: 0006-tracing-Update-trace-event-sample-with-TRACE_SYSTEM_.patch --]
[-- Type: text/plain, Size: 1644 bytes --]

From: "Steven Rostedt (Red Hat)" <rostedt@goodmis.org>

Add documentation about TRACE_SYSTEM needing to be alpha-numeric or with
underscores, and that if it is not, then the use of TRACE_SYSTEM_VAR is
required to make something that is.

An example of this is shown in samples/trace_events/trace-events-sample.h
