Thanks for testing the patches. Here are the steps to online/offline a cpu.

To mark a cpu offline
$echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/online

To mark a cpu online
$echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuX/online
