ident is not modified and can be made const to allow the compiler to put
it in read-only memory.

Before:
   text    data     bss     dec     hex filename
  14067    3188      64   17319    43a7 drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_watchdog.o

After:
   text    data     bss     dec     hex filename
  14115    3148      64   17327    43af drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_watchdog.o
