Subject: [RFC v3 15/18] util/char_dev: Add open_cdev()
Date: Tue, 31 Jan 2023 21:53:02 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20230131205305.2726330-16-eric.auger@redhat.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20230131205305.2726330-1-eric.auger@redhat.com>

From: Yi Liu <yi.l.liu@intel.com>

/dev/vfio/devices/vfioX may not exist. In that case it is still possible
to open /dev/char/$major:$minor instead. Add helper function to abstract
the cdev open.

Suggested-by: Jason Gunthorpe <jgg@nvidia.com>
Signed-off-by: Yi Liu <yi.l.liu@intel.com>
