Subject: U-Boot v2020.10: Environment Variables Missing in include/configs/mt7623.h
Date: Thu, 19 Nov 2020 12:40:53 +0530	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <084e8171-8652-e58e-cbe9-02b6ef48b93d@gmail.com> (raw)

Hello Ryder/Weijie,

I am using mainline u-boot v2020.10 for "Banana Pi R2" board. I am trying to use a boot script "boot.scr", there are few environment variables that are missing for e.g. if you take a look at

boot_a_script=load ${devtype} ${devnum}:${distro_bootpart} ${scriptaddr} ${prefix}${script}; source ${scriptaddr}

It uses ${scriptaddr} which is missing, because of which the U-Boot fails to load the script, similarly there are some more variables missing: pxefile_addr_r, ramdisk_addr_r etc.

Can you please confirm whether those variables are left (not defined) intentionally or there is some other way of defining those variables?

Thanks,
Gaurav Pathak
