From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Jeff Layton Subject: [PATCH 3/5] cifs: convert cifs_readpages to use async reads Date: Fri, 26 Aug 2011 15:18:16 -0400 Message-ID: <1314386298-27424-4-git-send-email-jlayton@redhat.com> References: <1314386298-27424-1-git-send-email-jlayton@redhat.com> Cc: linux-cifs-u79uwXL29TY76Z2rM5mHXA@public.gmane.org To: smfrench-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w@public.gmane.org Return-path: In-Reply-To: <1314386298-27424-1-git-send-email-jlayton-H+wXaHxf7aLQT0dZR+AlfA@public.gmane.org> Sender: linux-cifs-owner-u79uwXL29TY76Z2rM5mHXA@public.gmane.org List-ID: Now that we have code in place to do asynchronous reads, convert cifs_readpages to use it. The new cifs_readpages walks the page_list that gets passed in, locks those pages and then adds them into the pagecache. It then goes and issues async I/Os to attempt to fill those pages and returns. The rest is handled by the async readv infrastructure.
