From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Gleb Natapov Subject: [PATCHv2] Introduce bitmask for apic attention reasons. Date: Thu, 19 Apr 2012 14:06:29 +0300 Message-ID: <1334833589-15423-1-git-send-email-gleb@redhat.com> Cc: avi@redhat.com, mtosatti@redhat.com, mst@redhat.com To: kvm@vger.kernel.org Return-path: Received: from mx1.redhat.com ([209.132.183.28]:56679 "EHLO mx1.redhat.com" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1753878Ab2DSLGd (ORCPT ); Thu, 19 Apr 2012 07:06:33 -0400 Received: from int-mx09.intmail.prod.int.phx2.redhat.com (int-mx09.intmail.prod.int.phx2.redhat.com [10.5.11.22]) by mx1.redhat.com (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id q3JB6XTh023538 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=OK) for ; Thu, 19 Apr 2012 07:06:33 -0400 Sender: kvm-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: The patch introduces a bitmap that will hold reasons apic should be checked during vmexit. This is in a preparation for vp eoi patch that will add one more check on vmexit. With the bitmap we can do if(apic_attention) to check everything simultaneously which will add zero overhead on the fast path.
