From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Hannes Reinecke Subject: [PATCH 5/8] dm mpath: reduce memory pressure when requeuing Date: Fri, 28 Feb 2014 15:33:46 +0100 Message-ID: <1393598029-67995-6-git-send-email-hare@suse.de> References: <1393598029-67995-1-git-send-email-hare@suse.de> Reply-To: device-mapper development Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Return-path: In-Reply-To: <1393598029-67995-1-git-send-email-hare@suse.de> List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Sender: dm-devel-bounces@redhat.com Errors-To: dm-devel-bounces@redhat.com To: Alasdair Kergon Cc: Jun'ichi Nomura , dm-devel@redhat.com, Mike Snitzer List-Id: dm-devel.ids When multipath needs to requeue I/O in the block layer the per-request context shouldn't be allocated, as it will be freed immediately afterwards anyway. Avoiding this memory allocation will reduce memory pressure during requeuing.
