The maximum chunks used by the function is (SPI_AGGR_BUFFER_SIZE / WSPI_MAX_CHUNK_SIZE + 1). The original commands array had space for (SPI_AGGR_BUFFER_SIZE / WSPI_MAX_CHUNK_SIZE) commands. When the last chunk is used (len > 4 * WSPI_MAX_CHUNK_SIZE), the last command is stored outside the bounds of the commands array.
