From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Olivier Matz Subject: [PATCH v4 1/3] mempool: support external handler Date: Thu, 14 Apr 2016 15:57:48 +0200 Message-ID: <1460642270-8803-2-git-send-email-olivier.matz@6wind.com> References: <1457517037-71693-1-git-send-email-david.hunt@intel.com> <1460642270-8803-1-git-send-email-olivier.matz@6wind.com> Cc: yuanhan.liu@linux.intel.com, pmatilai@redhat.com To: dev@dpdk.org, david.hunt@intel.com Return-path: Received: from proxy.6wind.com (host.76.145.23.62.rev.coltfrance.com [62.23.145.76]) by dpdk.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AC8DE2C6C for ; Thu, 14 Apr 2016 15:58:20 +0200 (CEST) In-Reply-To: <1460642270-8803-1-git-send-email-olivier.matz@6wind.com> List-Id: patches and discussions about DPDK List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Errors-To: dev-bounces@dpdk.org Sender: "dev" From: David Hunt Until now, the objects stored in mempool mempool were internally stored a ring. This patch introduce the possibility to register external handlers replacing the ring. The default behavior remains unchanged, but calling the new function rte_mempool_set_handler() right after rte_mempool_create_empty() allows to change the handler that will be used when populating the mempool.
