This is because the algorithms to handle color and brightness are software algorithms that have to be run to calculate the correct parameters (in real time, unless you have a fixed lighting environment). This is handled by the libcamera IPA component, and the existing 3a algorithms for the RKISP that we have started to develop. However, these are not all the way there yet, and there is active development that you will probably want to apply locally if they don't get merged to libcamera before you test again.
