Same with 2.6.14.3 kernel. ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Winterbird - 12-13-05 20:50 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm having a similar problem (no sound from front speakers in 5.1 output), using alsa and emu10k1 built in kernel (2.6.14-gentoo-r2), and alsa-lib 1.0.10. # cat /proc/asound/version Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.10rc1 (Mon Sep 12 08:13:09 2005 UTC). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mikma - 12-14-05 18:23 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The problem should go away if you upgrade alsa-driver to version 1.0.10. The change of EMU10K1.conf was made in alsa-lib release 1.0.10rc2. (Using EMU10K1.conf from version 1.0.10rc1, the version before, could be tried as a work-around if you want to avoid upgrading the alsa-driver).
