I had to make a couple of adjustments to the DSDT in order to get battery status working, but that seems happy now. My only issue now is that undocking the laptop from the CD base results in the console hanging - I'm still able to ssh in, and the keyboard generates interrups, but keypresses result in nothing happening. I get a "Failed to acquire semaphore" message from ACPI at the same time, and it works fine if I boot without ACPI, so.
