The *.tmpl files and the sgml files are easy readable.
The only thing docbook does is to add a bit more formatting, indexes etc.
But nothing that prevents you from reading it if you need to do so.
Please stop this kind of arguments if we shall not stop listening.

When you have figured out how to install the required tools I would
be glad to receive a write-up that I can include somewhere in the kernel
to help others in the process.
