Yeah, e.g. checking exit status of:
echo '__attribute__((noreturn)) void foo (void) { asm volatile ("" : : : "memory"); __builtin_unreachable (); }' | gcc -S -O2 -W -Wall -Werror -xc - -o /dev/null > /dev/null 2>/dev/null
works.
