From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: John Daley Subject: [PATCH v2] net/enic: add support for TSO Date: Mon, 9 Jan 2017 10:58:37 -0800 Message-ID: <20170109185837.2290-1-johndale@cisco.com> References: <93fdc344-8c32-aaad-817a-c33c89aa821c@intel.com> Cc: bruce.richardson@intel.com, dev@dpdk.org, John Daley To: ferruh.yigit@intel.com Return-path: Received: from rcdn-iport-2.cisco.com (rcdn-iport-2.cisco.com [173.37.86.73]) by dpdk.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 73FD71E2F for ; Mon, 9 Jan 2017 19:58:40 +0100 (CET) In-Reply-To: <93fdc344-8c32-aaad-817a-c33c89aa821c@intel.com> List-Id: DPDK patches and discussions List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , Errors-To: dev-bounces@dpdk.org Sender: "dev" The enic TSO implementation requires that the length of the Eth/IP/TCP headers be passed to the NIC. Other than that, it's just a matter of setting the mss and offload mode on a per packet basis. In TSO mode, IP and TCP checksums are offloaded even if not requested with mb->ol_flags.
