Ok, so corruption occurs due to some raid borkage. It's hard to assess
what xfs_repair might be attempting and possibly failing to do without
the relevant output from the tool. Also note that if the corruption is
severe enough that superblocks are toast, for example, there are limits
to what xfs_repair can possibly do.

Details? xfs_repair output? "Something worked in 4.5 but not 4.10" is
not much to go on to try and identify whether there is a regression in
xfs_repair or something else is going on. :/

I have no idea why that worked either if there is no xfs_repair output
to describe what happened in the bad case and what xfs_repair did to
correct the filesystem in the good case. Glad everything is working
again though! ;P

It looks like you hit an I/O error when attempting to read/verify the
log. I suppose it would be useful to try and create a metadump of your
fs, test whether xfsprogs 4.10 has problems with the resulting image,
and make the image available if so. E.g., use something like
'xfs_metadump -go <device> <img>' to create the metadump, 'xfs_mdrestore
<img> <tmpfile>' to restore it to a temporary file, and see whether
xfs_repair has any problems with the filesystem on the temporary file.
