OK.  While I would encourage use of the same dts in both cases, it's not
my maintenance burden here, so if that's how you want to go, that's OK
with me.  And so long as only NXP/Freescale/etc people have made changes
to the dts/dtsi files, it would be fine for NXP/Freescale/etc to update
the license terms.
