Subject: [U-Boot] [PATCH v2 5/6] scripts/dtc: Re-sync with Linux 4.17-rc4
Date: Tue, 15 May 2018 16:06:52 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20180515140652.GA22161@vmlxhi-102.adit-jv.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20180512171331.19693-5-erosca@de.adit-jv.com>

Dear Masahiro, Simon,

I think this patch logically belongs and is tightly coupled to the Linux
4.17-rc4 Kconfig re-sync. Since you skipped it, I wonder if you have a
different view on this.

Most of the Linux commits imported here are actually DTC-specific pieces
from the Linux commits squashed into Kconfig re-sync patch. The idea of
doing that is to create a patch whose scope is limited to DTC. I could
have kept the integrity of Linux commits, which would have extended the
Kconfig re-sync patch to DTC as well. I still can take a different
approach, depending on your feedback. Filtering out this patch doesn't
sound good to me. TIA for your input.

Regards,
Eugeniu.
