From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Niklas Cassel Subject: [PATCH 1/2] arm64: dts: qcom: msm8996: Add a default compatible string Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2018 14:58:01 +0200 Message-ID: <20180829125803.11227-1-niklas.cassel@linaro.org> Return-path: Sender: linux-kernel-owner@vger.kernel.org To: Andy Gross , David Brown , Rob Herring , Mark Rutland Cc: Niklas Cassel , linux-arm-msm@vger.kernel.org, linux-soc@vger.kernel.org, devicetree@vger.kernel.org, linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org List-Id: linux-arm-msm@vger.kernel.org Add a default compatible string. This compatible is defined in Documentation/devicetree/bindings/arm/qcom.txt and matches how it's done in arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/msm8916.dtsi Usually the dts overrides this compatible property, however, if the dts doesn't specify a compatible, this compatible string will be used.
