From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: David Ahern Subject: [PATCH RFC v2 net-next 06/25] rtnetlink: Update rtnl_dump_ifinfo to support NLM_F_DUMP_PROPER_HDR Date: Mon, 1 Oct 2018 17:28:32 -0700 Message-ID: <20181002002851.5002-7-dsahern@kernel.org> References: <20181002002851.5002-1-dsahern@kernel.org> Cc: christian@brauner.io, jbenc@redhat.com, stephen@networkplumber.org, David Ahern To: netdev@vger.kernel.org, davem@davemloft.net Return-path: Received: from mail.kernel.org ([198.145.29.99]:35216 "EHLO mail.kernel.org" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S1726373AbeJBHJR (ORCPT ); Tue, 2 Oct 2018 03:09:17 -0400 In-Reply-To: <20181002002851.5002-1-dsahern@kernel.org> Sender: netdev-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: From: David Ahern Update rtnl_dump_ifinfo to check for NLM_F_DUMP_PROPER_HDR in the netlink message header. If the flag is set, the dump request is expected to have an ifinfomsg struct as the header potentially followed by one or more attributes. Any data passed in the header or as an attribute is taken as a request to influence the data returned. Only values supported by the dump handler are allowed to be non-0 or set in the request. At the moment only the IFA_TARGET_NETNSID, IFLA_EXT_MASK, IFLA_MASTER, and IFLA_LINKINFO attributes are supported.
