Hi Brad,

Thank you for the patch, looks great apart from some minor issues.

First of all, sparse finds a number of issues, it would be great to have
those resolved.

g_big_endian is not needed. You can use

#ifdef __BIG_ENDIAN
	...
#endif

If I'm reading this correctly -- and it's hard to parse -- this byte
swapping byte 0 and 3, and 1 and 2. convert_endian is only called on
little endian. So this is doing le32_to_cpus()?

le16_to_cpus()?

What is this? le24_to_cpus()?

These functions are really hard to read. It would be much better if
the structs like MXL_EAGLE_TUNER_CHANNEL_PARAMS_T have their freq_hz
field to be type be32 rather than u32, and do the conversion when it
is written/read rather than patching it up to the right endianness.

mxl692_tx_swap() and mxl692_rx_swap() both really should be removed,
if possible.

This is a bit messy. If buffer is a u32 pointer, you could do buffer[ix]
and avoid the cast.

> +	remainder = size % 4;
> +	if (remainder > 0)

Ehm. If there is a remainder, then do another cksum += .. ? Can't this be
solved by merging this into the above loop? (i.e. one more iteration if
size % 4 > 0:

	for (ix = 0; ix < size; ix += 4)
		cur_cksum += cpu_to_be32(*(u32 *)(buffer + ix));

Since this is calculating the checksum, I would expect it do X_to_cpu(),
not cpu_to_X.

memcmp() might be shorter.

By making temp u8 you avoid the cast.
