Actually, for some of these it'd be good to join the string:

e.g.: testcases/kernel/fs/fsx-linux/fsx-linux.c
warn("save_buffer: short write, 0x%x bytes instead "
 			     "of 0x%llx\n",

The rule could be: anything <= 100 (instead of 80 which was common in the past).
This is related to the change in checkpatch.pl (kernel) a year ago
bdc48fa11e46 ("checkpatch/coding-style: deprecate 80-column warning")

Feel free to ignore it.

Kind regards,
Petr

Hi!

Ping. I checked it based on the latest code. Are there any changes that
need to be added?

Hi Ziyao,

> Hi!

> to be added?
Well, as I note previously on some places it'd be better to join string, e.g.
testcases/kernel/syscalls/setsid/setsid01.c
testcases/open_posix_testsuite/conformance/interfaces/sched_setparam/2-1.c
testcases/kernel/syscalls/sysinfo/sysinfo02.c

The reason is that string on single line is easier to grep.
That's why checkpatch.pl from kernel relaxed max line from 80 to 100
(good at least for string).

But I'm ok to merge it without.

Kind regards,
Petr

And because this I'd personally go for joining string most of the time, even
long strings like
testcases/kernel/syscalls/sched_get_priority_max/sched_get_priority_max01.c

Thanks, by the way, would you mind fixing this while you merge?

It's also fine that I send v2 patch later to fix the problem.

Thanks for your review.

Kind Regards,
Ziyao

I fixed the most obvious lines, concentrating on tests which use new API and
merged.

open posix tests produce a lot of checkpatch.pl warnings anyway => do not waste
time on details. And some fanotify / inotify tests which are up to date use
traditional formatting which splits lines => replacing it now.
