I'm being daft; we build debug stuff for this.

Can you please do something like:

$ touch drivers/cpuidle/cpuidle.c
$ OBJTOOL_ARGS="--backup" make drivers/cpuidle/cpuidle.o

and send me both: drivers/cpuidle/cpuidle.o{,.orig}
