Subject: [RFC PATCH 1/3] cifs: change module name to "smbfs.ko"
Date: Mon, 1 Aug 2022 16:09:31 -0300	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20220801190933.27197-2-ematsumiya@suse.de> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <20220801190933.27197-1-ematsumiya@suse.de>

Rename "cifs.ko" module to "smbfs.ko", but keep "cifs" as a module alias
for compatibility with existing scripts/tools.

TODO: update spnego and idmap key names, cifs-utils, etc, warn about
      module rename
To discuss: procfs entries (/proc/fs/cifs)
