Same here.
I unloaded scanner form kernel but I don't know how to set it up
otherwise as advised
"you can just use xsane through usbfs instead"
. I have looked all over. Below is a line in /etc/sysconfig/hotplug
could this cause bother if scanner modules has been deleted from kernel?
##Type: string
##Default: scanner
##ServiceRestart:
#
HOTPLUG_USB_MODULES_TO_UNLOAD="scanner"
Also printer epson 740 doesn't load as a module unless I modprobe usblp
and then set it up in Yast2 Suse 9, How is this done.
Another problem is a maxtor usb2 hard disk and iomega usb2 cdwriter
which dont hotplug in 2.6.1-rc1 Below are 2 lines which I included in
fstab which seem to access these devices at the moment, but I am not
sure about.
/dev/sda1 /media/sda1 auto sync,noauto,user,exec 0 0 # for ext hd
dev/sr0 /media/sr0 auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 #for writer
