Switched over to
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/VG01/my_lv bs=4096
This executed without error (wrote ~20GB) and now when I check with:
smartctl -a /dev/sda
I get
197 Current_Pending_Sector 0x0012 100 100 000 Old_age Always
- 0
198 Offline_Uncorrectable 0x0010 100 100 000 Old_age
Offline - 0
Sounds good to me! Right?
So now I could re-add /dev/sdb4 to retry syncing that array, correct?
Stefan
