Ah - double error on my side - sent you the wrong .config, the non-working .config was a 32bit however (origin of this thread was: no crash, but during UML start it just hangs) *BUT* - I run again "make ARCH=um defconfig" and deselected 64 bit afterwards - and now at least I can boot my image. So made a mistake in switching from 64 to 32 bit before. Thanks Richard for your help ! You forced me to go into the right direction. :-) I'll continue to look for the differences of the working default config to my config causing the trouble I do have. -- Toralf pgp key: 7B1A 07F4 EC82 0F90 D4C2 8936 872A E508 0076 E94E ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more.
