But I also remember having had cold boots, with kernels >=4.2 that worked fine (obviously not all of the time). <=4.1.20 kernels on the other hand boot fine every single time. Interestingly the igb driver (ethernet) seems to be acting up at least with 4.5.0 on exactly the same boots when mpt2sas init fails.
