This breaks: override PYTHON :=3D $(call get-executable-or-default,PYTHON,$(subst -confi= g,,$(PYTHON_AUTO))) as somehow PYTHON is expanded to a full path, yet: override PYTHON :=3D $(call get-executable-or-default,PYTHON,$(PYTHON_AUTO)= ) this works and doesn't expand PYTHON.
