Hi, I would like to report the following issue which begain with kernel
5.4.86.

Please let me know if I should also file a bug in bugzilla.

Note that I have narrowed it down to the change which causes the issue
(e1b1f10c3404c8d40c45c3a6846d304fd403fa2c in linux-5.4 series, upstream
a135a1b4c4db1f3b8cbed9676a40ede39feb3362).

I am happy to try patches and help debug in any way I can.

[1.] One line summary of the problem:

RX 580 screen goes dark after switching monitor to different input and back

[2.] Full description of the problem/report:

I have an RX 580 graphics adapter connected via displayport to my
monitor. When I switch the monitor to a different input and then back,
the display remains dark. The following appears in the dmesg output:

This happens with kernel 5.4.86 but not 5.4.85 and can be reproduced
reliably.

I have narrowed it down to the following change:

        EDID parsing in S3 resume pushes new display modes
        to probed_modes list but doesn't consolidate to actual
        mode list. This creates a race condition when
        amdgpu_dm_connector_ddc_get_modes() re-initializes the
        list head without walking the list and results in  memory leak.
