No, it can deadlock in a different way.

ktime_get() calls read_seqcount_begin() which can busy-loop if a
writer is in progress. You can see this in the code for
read_seqcount_begin().

If you call it from an NMI context, and the NMI context happens to
interrupt a *timekeeping* update, you can lockup forever.

You cannot safely interrupt the write-side section of a sequence lock
reader, and that's exactly what you're doing when you call ktime_get()
in an NMI context.

That's what sequence *latch* is for.

See comments about sequence latch where it specifically calls out NMIs:

So I just can't see how you can call ktime_get() in an NMI context the
way you are calling... What am I missing?
