Yes, just for the sake of capturing the log I issued a 'reboot'
command right after reaching
the Linux prompt.

The same problem happens if 'reboot' is issued at a much later point as well.

I added a printk (*********** smsc95xx_disconnect_phy())
and confirmed that smsc95xx_disconnect_phy() is being called.
