It's great news for me. After you enable "pci_enable_msi" have you checked cat /proc/interrupts? What does it show? And do you confirm that the WiFi card works successfully that is able to scan WiFi networks after MSI is enabled? Also what all modifications you have done in the driver? Which version of Linux kernel your are using?
