I am trying to capture webcam image from OMAP that runs on linux. What would be the easiest way to go? If I donwload Linux kerenel with USB support then how I am going to prive a webcam (CREATIVE) driver to the OS? Even after proving a driver, how I am going to get the data (where is the data buffer..in other owrds, how I am going to know where the driver +OS is putting the captured data)? Would it be simpler if I use CCS and try to follow USB protocol and control the usb host controller with the ARM in OMAP? Please help. Please mail back to me at arijit.sinharay@tcs.com. Thank you.
