What does the LF have to do with this? We are here, on the mailing lists, working with everyone. Just test the -rc releases we make and let us know if they work or not for you, it's not a lot of "coordination" needed at all. Otherwise, if no one is saying that they are going to need these for 6 years and are willing to use it in their project (i.e. and test it), there's no need for us to maintain it for that long, right? thanks, greg k-h From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 Return-Path: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.4.0 (2014-02-07) on aws-us-west-2-korg-lkml-1.web.codeaurora.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-3.8 required=3.0 tests=BAYES_00,DKIMWL_WL_HIGH, DKIM_SIGNED,DKIM_VALID,HEADER_FROM_DIFFERENT_DOMAINS,MAILING_LIST_MULTI, SPF_HELO_NONE,SPF_PASS,URIBL_BLOCKED autolearn=no autolearn_force=no version=3.4.0 Received: from mail.kernel.org (mail.kernel.org [198.145.29.99]) by smtp.lore.kernel.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6F177C433E0 for ; Thu, 18 Feb 2021 18:04:23 +0000 (UTC) Received: from merlin.infradead.org (merlin.infradead.org [205.233.59.134]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mail.kernel.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 1713764E33 for ; Thu, 18 Feb 2021 18:04:23 +0000 (UTC) DMARC-Filter: OpenDMARC Filter v1.3.2 mail.kernel.org 1713764E33 Authentication-Results: mail.kernel.org; dmarc=fail (p=none dis=none) header.from=linuxfoundation.org Authentication-Results: mail.kernel.org; spf=none smtp.mailfrom=linux-arm-kernel-bounces+linux-arm-kernel=archiver.kernel.org@lists.infradead.org DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; q=dns/txt; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=lists.infradead.org; s=merlin.20170209; h=Sender:Content-Transfer-Encoding: Content-Type:Cc:List-Subscribe:List-Help:List-Post:List-Archive: List-Unsubscribe:List-Id:In-Reply-To:MIME-Version:References:Message-ID: Subject:To:From:Date:Reply-To:Content-ID:Content-Description:Resent-Date: Resent-From:Resent-Sender:Resent-To:Resent-Cc:Resent-Message-ID:List-Owner; bh=08X+JGeFrGKzKvsD1EcW4bbEKBu3ROdsiERLjTHFi4g=; b=GnpmKtL2PKtZswo7L+7LAzdcJ 8p12eszIt1hXVf+RYsO2+q6vfpYnztx4rnxUy7Fj4Yujb02nzF3Ncz6bT4Piqtb+8lQ2bavAgB85B Q5kPdeHzzpiWsz9e9QkRzDZTqlabUVKaT3R6MYSMecmZXei2oqLrTmfaRQESX+2ziJPO+Mh/U3xLf wWd4ITy0/PpODNP+x1Q83/+k5YVyQbMI+HgMnN8S1c5xJP/FSV0av4ZiBVMx+L68qZKq3WmsvGtg7 VPlpWJKfOHuEmnkmxbP87QJxiavO+j+dqLePCzNIcHBanq0V+PbcGWW/63oG6vZ+NBTOpAq1CSqeP G2MwknU6Q==; Received: from localhost ([::1] helo=merlin.infradead.org) by merlin.infradead.org with esmtp (Exim 4.92.3 #3 (Red Hat Linux)) id 1lCnV8-0002xK-1F; Thu, 18 Feb 2021 17:54:06 +0000 Received: from mail.kernel.org ([198.145.29.99]) by merlin.infradead.org with esmtps (Exim 4.92.3 #3 (Red Hat Linux)) id 1lCnV2-0002wk-FL for linux-arm-kernel@lists.infradead.org; Thu, 18 Feb 2021 17:54:04 +0000 Received: by mail.kernel.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 95E7364E2E; Thu, 18 Feb 2021 17:53:58 +0000 (UTC) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/simple; d=linuxfoundation.org; s=korg; t=1613670839; bh=1Mckai72+Ezeyz93253E8fXqlylV55QI3DAGPILrLMc=; h=Date:From:To:Cc:Subject:References:In-Reply-To:From; b=JsiKVEXuQNa9/iKvBCU0cg82KvNz2O8DsIEUHXvdWZg5Ii/1g4iBxFOFYZiWxZksz j9cX884hxHbL2q2vpo4tm5WIDtc9tAB+aitMfwx6mTuvcQdNefqrLSzptJZIHvoHp8 +/4w7K1E5X8BAuEsRU8uq0Q+vwf3Tl8qKRCtmh2E= Date: Thu, 18 Feb 2021 18:53:56 +0100 From: Greg Kroah-Hartman To: Florian Fainelli Subject: Re: 5.10 LTS Kernel: 2 or 6 years?
