Hello Bernard,

Great to hear the patch is working.  Getting the commit applied is 
mostly a matter of formatting an email in specific ways, sending them to 
the right people, and getting approvals.

   Ralf:  Do you have any concerns on this patch in what it's 
specifically doing, etc?
