Subject: BSP guide: what is a "kernel layer"?
Date: Sun, 23 Feb 2020 16:04:25 -0500 (EST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <alpine.LFD.2.21.2002231602210.17396@localhost.localdomain> (raw)

  BSP guide, section 1.8.2:

"As mentioned earlier in this section, the existence of a machine
configuration file is what makes a layer a BSP layer as compared to a
general or kernel layer."

um ... what is a "kernel layer"? normally, kernel recipes or
bbappend files *are* part of the BSP layer. i might reword that as
"compared to a user space or application layer" or something like
that. i'm currently tweaking the BSP guide so i can toss in some
rewording here. thoughts?
