The only solution is to restart the network connection. The fix for me has been to downgrade the firmware by removing /usr/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/firmware-6.bin so that /usr/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/firmware-4.bin is used; with this, I have no issues.
