@Adrian Brown Your Linux issue is potentially related to t=
he active adapter.
Have you tried w/o it?

On Windows, the flickering on/around login, at least for me, has been mostly
resolved by using the latest AMD driver + Windows 10 1903 and all the recent
updates. There was a Windows update about a month ago that resolved a lot of
flickering issues by fixing a bug in Windows's 10-bit color support.

Also, if you are using Ubuntu, it might be worth downgrading to 18.04.3 so =
that
you can use the Radeon Software for Linux Driver:

https://www.amd.com/e=
n/support/graphics/amd-radeon-2nd-generation-vega/amd-radeon-2nd-generation=
-vega/amd-radeon-vii

Currently, I hear that using AMD's driver + a supported distro is the best =
way
to get stability out of Radeon VII. And it's something I will probably end =
up
trying myself if there's no resolution to the issues forthcoming with 5.4,
which will be the new LTS.
