Subject: [Bug 19261] New: xmms playlist does not render correctly
Date: Tue, 23 Dec 2008 10:17:47 -0800 (PST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-19261-8800@http.bugs.freedesktop.org/> (raw)

http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19261

Summary: xmms playlist does not render correctly
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: low
         Component: Driver/nouveau
        AssignedTo: nouveau-PD4FTy7X32lNgt0PjOBp9y5qC8QIuHrW@public.gmane.org
        ReportedBy: drizzd-Tswl7xcH0yE@public.gmane.org
         QAContact: xorg-team-go0+a7rfsptAfugRpC6u6w@public.gmane.org

Xorg.0.log

The xmms playlist shows randomly scattered blue points all over the window,
instead of the expected blue text. xcompmgr active or not does not make a
difference. No framebuffer drivers are active.

After adding

Option "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"

to the Device Section (as suggested by stillunknown on #nouveau) fixes the
playlist window, but now all other windows show artifacts.

This is on

Linux darc 2.6.27 #3 SMP PREEMPT Tue Dec 23 12:12:22 CET 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux

with

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600M GS (rev a1)

I will add xorg.conf and dmesg in response to this.
