Summary: Nouveau KMS - kernel crash when loading drm on G86
[GeForce 8400M GS]
Product: xorg
Version: git
Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: high
Component: Driver/nouveau

kern.log
When I load the nouveau drm module with modeset=1 on my G86 [GeForce 8400M GS],
the kernel crashes. Backtrace attached.
Workarounds:
1. With modeset=0, nouveau works
2. If I start Xorg with the nv driver, stop it, and then load nouveau with
modeset=1, KMS works without problems. I can start Xorg with the nouveau driver
after that.
