An alternate workaround would be to use shadowfb. Add: Option "NoAccel" "True" To the device section of your xorg.conf' >>From your reply, I gather you think that Alex's commit actually does fix the issue. Only one way to find out ... I will report back once I have tried 3.2.29 in place of my stock XUbuntu 3.2.0 kernel.
