Just to make sure my procedure is correct (or, say, at least consistent) I
redid

and I got the same result:

     eld#3.0              HDMI sound
     =======              ==========
3.    Good                   Good

Note:  for my spot check I used the criteria:

a.  Old (maybe possible corrupted) stuff
b.  Good sound (a feeling missing on recent tests)
c.  A file to be patched (while working with other clean, original files)
