I also got the hint to delete everything in my /usr/local/ because I had old self-compiled mesa etc. there and that prevented the use of the up to date versions in /usr I think /usr/local is used first because its first in the PATH environment variable... So for me all worked after I deleted the stuff in /usr/local.
