Please take a look at [1]. It's not the same driver, but something to the same effect. I know it's been almost a year, but I do work on this and intend to come back with a new version during 2021. I currently work on fastboot support for the new driver. But it's a complicated matter and takes time. If there's interest, we could talk about merging what's already there.
